NOW Foods Papaya Enzyme Chewable Lozenges are a convenient, great-tasting digestive enzyme supplement produced in the United States. Each serving of 2 lozenges delivers a carefully selected blend of plant-derived enzymes, including Papain sourced from papaya fruit and Bromelain sourced from pineapple, alongside Protease, Lipase, Alpha-Amylase, and Cellulase. These enzymes are naturally occurring proteins that act on specific food components — Papain and Protease work on proteins, Bromelain also targets proteins, Lipase acts on fats, Alpha-Amylase targets starches, and Cellulase acts on plant cell walls.
