STANLAB Lugol’s Fluid 5% is a classic aqueous iodine solution composed of elemental iodine and potassium iodide dissolved in distilled water. With a concentration of approximately 5 g iodine and 10 g potassium iodide per 100 ml, this formulation delivers a precise and consistent dose of iodine in every drop — approximately 2 mg iodine and 4 mg potassium iodide per single drop (approx. 0.05 ml).
Iodine is an essential trace element that contributes to normal thyroid function and the normal production of thyroid hormones, as well as to normal cognitive function, normal energy-yielding metabolism, and the maintenance of normal skin. Potassium iodide serves as a stabilising carrier, enhancing the solubility and stability of elemental iodine in aqueous solution.
Presented in a practical 100 ml (3.5 fl. oz.) bottle, STANLAB Lugol’s Fluid 5% is manufactured to a defined chemical specification with clearly stated CAS and EC numbers for both active constituents, offering a reliable and well-characterised liquid iodine preparation.

Usage & Dosage
Use according to the instructions included with the packaging. Approximately 1 drop contains approx. 2 mg iodine and approx. 4 mg potassium iodide.
