Lutein & Bilberry – 60 Softgels

Swanson Lutein & Bilberry combines two well-known plant-derived ingredients into a convenient once-daily softgel. Each softgel provides 6 mg of lutein, sourced from marigold flower extract, and 20 mg of bilberry extract (Vaccinium myrtillus) standardised to a minimum of 25% anthocyanins. Lutein is a carotenoid pigment found naturally in plants, and bilberry is a small dark berry closely related to the blueberry. Both ingredients are delivered in a softgel format with sunflower oil to support absorption of these oil-soluble compounds.

The bilberry extract used in this product is derived from the fruit of Vaccinium myrtillus and is carefully standardised to ensure a consistent concentration of anthocyanins — the natural pigments responsible for the deep blue-purple colour of the berry. The lutein is extracted from marigold flowers, a traditional and widely used botanical source of this carotenoid. Neither lutein nor bilberry extract has an established daily reference value.
