Jarrow Formulas Curcumin Phytosome features Meriva®, a well-researched form of curcumin in which curcuminoids extracted from the rhizome of Curcuma longa are complexed with phosphatidylcholine. This phytosome technology is designed to improve the absorption of curcuminoids compared to standard curcumin extracts. Each vegetarian capsule delivers 500 mg of the Meriva® complex, providing 90 mg of curcuminoids (18%) per serving.

Curcumin is the principal curcuminoid found in turmeric (Curcuma longa), a plant that has been part of traditional food and herbal cultures for centuries. The Meriva® phytosome complex binds curcuminoids to phosphatidylcholine, a naturally occurring phospholipid, to form a stable molecular complex. This product is produced in the United States by Jarrow Formulas, a brand known for its science-based approach to supplement formulation.
