Ostrovit Sodium Butyrate delivers 600 mg of sodium butyrate per capsule, of which 180 mg is butyric acid (30%). Butyric acid is a short-chain fatty acid that occurs naturally in the human digestive tract. Sodium butyrate is the sodium salt form of butyric acid and is commonly used as a dietary supplement to provide this compound in a stable, concentrated format.

Each capsule contains sodium butyrate in the form of enteric microcapsules with a shell made from fatty acids of vegetable origin. This microencapsulation is designed to protect the active ingredient through the stomach and support targeted release further along the digestive tract. The capsule shell is made from hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), making this product suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
