Please note the important distinction between two different rights:

No Right of Withdrawal for Online Purchases

Your order is concluded online via our website. For such online purchase contracts, Swiss law does not provide a statutory right of withdrawal. The statutory right of withdrawal under Art. 40a et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) applies only to certain contracts concluded away from business premises (e.g. telephone sales) — not to purchases you make independently online. We also do not grant a voluntary right of return “without giving reasons.” The reason for this is that returning goods to the European Union is not practically feasible for logistical reasons.

This means: ordered goods cannot simply be returned because you changed your mind or no longer need them.

Your Statutory Rights for Defects Remain Fully in Place

Regardless of the absence of a right of withdrawal, the statutory warranty for defects under Art. 197 et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) applies in full and for 2 years from delivery. These rights cannot be excluded by contract.

You are entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction, or rescission of the contract if:

  • the delivered goods are defective, or
  • the goods were damaged during transport.
